What is your actual major title?

And I think being a software developer for big gaming industries would be amazing, or being a professional Formula D drifter

Yeah I could only dream of being a professional Formula D Drifter, do you get paid for being one? Or is it just a hobby/lifestyle?

Depending on ur sponsors you can get paid. And as a drifter you do advertising that will pay you, and big renound tournament battles like Road Atlanta pay some good bucks to podium finishers. You wont be poor if you become a "professional" drifter, trust me... haha

So I wouldn't actually need a job?

Im not saying that. haha, unless ur parents are filthy rich, or you have inherited some money, you may need a job to get a good car, and put time and money into it. Then you have to pay to enter pro-am like tournaments around the globe. Get recognized then maybe you'll have a shot. Do you need a job, no, but it will help you get started with some money

My dream job would be a successful contractor. I just like to build things with wood and use power tools.

Not necessarliy. You must work your way up. To even get noticed in drifting YOU have to provide ur own car. And if you get to be like Vaugn Gittin Jr., they will supply the car. Once they know (the sponsors) can trust you, they will put the design, car in ur hands. You must perform.

So you start off small, get noticed, get sponsored, perform and that is when you become professional?

True but I'm going to try my best to get there, or have a job that at least works around cars

You'll get there man! If you have a passion for it, follow it. Make your dreams come true. It sound gay, but you do really only live once. Make something out of ur time. I'd love to be a FD drifter, but at my location and my surroundings its not the easiest. Im not sure that some day i'll be one, but I will have a side car for it, and I will make a hobby out of drifting!
