i have a ATI Readon HD3200 .

And i am going to buy a new game called guildwars 2 which requires

''Graphics card NVIDIA GeForce 7800, ATI Radeon X1800, Intel HD 3000 or better
(256MB of video RAM and shader model 3.0 or better)''

is the one i have good enough? or would i have to buy a better one?

also which ones if i had to buy a new one would you recommend. please bare in mind that i am a student, so any expensive ones are a no no..

Thanks.

I'm not great with computers but I looked this up for you and someone said this.

"I have a 6735s also but mine has a dual core CPU.

Once you update the GPU driver, the HD3200 is pretty good. I get decent frame rates from Bioshock and Painkiller Black. Unreal Anthology plays perfectly.

This will not replace a decent desktop for gaming though. For budget gaming, it's fine.

Yours will struggle a bit more than mine because of your Sempron. Yes, the extra RAM will help with gaming but it won't work miracles.

A laptop is only worthwhile for portability, The performance won't match a desktop.

The big performance increase is when you go to ati's page and download the latest drivers. My laptop shipped with very poor drivers and performance doubled when I installed the newer version.

I'm just about to update to 9.9. I takes a while so be patient.

It's difficult to compare your desktop with your laptop other than by benchmarking. You have to look at the whole system performance rather than just the GPU."

Hope this helped.

It's got 512MB of video RAM while the game only needs 256MB. It also has shader model 3.0 so it should work fine.

Yahoo answers, top lel.

Anyway, it's a pretty bad card, but it meets the requirements of the game, so I'd assume you're fine. I would recommend a better card, but I'd need to know your price range.
