Netflix is an exception. I play games and watch Netflix on my Xbox 360. Thats about it.

thaank yu, hes doesnt fully read everyones opinions, and accept that their only personal opinions, im not hating im jut pointing out the things that i do and dont like, first i never even owned a ps3, as i said i switched to xbox 360 from ps2, and ive only used netflix a low number of times, i only play games on it, because its a Gaming console. and as you said before from a 400$ console another 100$ actually would make a difference your talking something under 1000$ its not like buying a car, thats like saying i'd rather buy a pair of jordans from a reseller on ebay for 150$ more rather than going to the store to get it retail, no body wants to pay that, only people who are addicted to the company they've played games on their console for years

1. Ehh...not anymore than Microsoft. Microsoft is like your mom who gives you advice and you're just like "Lol okay mom" Two years later you're like...."woah maybe mom was right." Sadly, most of the kids on TTG are too ignorant to understand what Microsoft is doing, and they aren't willing to learn.

I doubt Sony cares about gamers anymore than Microsoft, they just saw how gamers reacted to the Xbox One and said "Do you know how much money we can make if we just do the opposite of Microsoft's f-ups?" And so they did.

Maybe Microsoft will do something revolutionary, but I've been with Sony almost my entire gaming life.

It was "What has sold you on The PS4?" Not "Come here and debate about which console is the best"

I'm not about to start a flame war over a CONSOLE.

Starting an argument with me is like trying to start a war with the USA, you won't win.

Vietnam

On topic: The PS4 is kind of getting me. I love the Xbox brand, but I just don't agree with what they are doing. I'm fine with the used game thing in a sense. I just really don't like needing to be online for an hour every 24 hour period. It's a console, not a PC. I should be able to use it no matter the location as long as I have a TV and electricity. The Kinect is not really a cool thing either. Why do I have to have it on while I play? It's already uncomfortable that Microsoft is part of PRISM. Now we have a camera that is always when the Xbox is on? Not cool. I'm still on the edge though because I have eight years worth of achievements and time put into my account. PS4 is looking pretty good though.

If we went to war with Vietnam today...lol.

@ Everything else, just read this.

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

That really didn't clear up anything. The DRM isn't confirmed to work the way the guy thinks it may work in the post. That being said, there is still the problem of needing an internet connection for an hour every 24 hours (until confirmed.) Turning off the features of the Kinect does nothing to their end. If there is power to the console and I'm online, they have access to it. The webcam on my computer can be hacked into at any point without me knowing. It's just how that works. It's not like the NSA or whoever would come out and say they are doing it. It would be kept secret. Point being: Cameras that have power and internet to them aren't to be trusted (especially those from Microsoft, Google, Facebook, etc.) Could I be paranoid? Maybe. It's still a realistic possibility though.

Yes you're paranoid. Seriously, why does everyone think they're important enough for the government to give a **** about? Why do kids on here think the government has the time or resources to watch every xbox one player 24/7?

I'm not going to argue with someone who will just continually say, "BUT DA CAMERA IS WATHCIN U, HOW WE KNO, DEY NOT RECORDING YOU?"

It's not that they are watching every person on Xbox, it's the fact that they can watch any of them when they want. Not to mention no one trusts Microsoft with security especially after some of the leaked Edward Snowden papers showed Microsoft sharing information with the NSA.

Here are some of the reasons people don't like the new Xbox, you obviously love:

- You have to have Kinect plugged in at all times to use the console, can never actually turn it "off"
- It has significantly less power than the PS4 (50% slower GPU) [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
- Zero backwards compatibility
- Microsoft won't allow indie devs to self-publish/they must get a publisher (very expensive for small companies)
- Will be region locked, making many countries wait a long time or never be able to use the console altogether
- Completely retarded restrictions on trading/selling used game to make Microsoft more money
- $100 more for less power and more restrictions than the PS4 (wut?)

I can already tell you have your heart set on being ignorant. But I will say..

- Who cares about the kinect being plugged in at all times? You're just trying to find things to complain about. Learn to control the privacy settings if you're scared that for whatever reason the government wants to monitor you 24/7.

- Lol, that is false. Linking that site is like using wikipedia as a credible source. And I know what your teachers have told you kids about wikipedia.

- PS4 isn't backwards compatible either.

- You kids barely even support indie developers, stop acting like you care about them now.

- Like you care about those other countries, just a reason to complain.

- Those "restrictions" won't make Microsoft any money, it will make the publishers more money. And sharing games on Xbox one is better than the current just give your friend the disk method of sony.

- Valid reason, but stop acting like $100 is a groundbreaking difference. Especially when the PS3 was $200 more than the 360 at launch.

How am I being ignorant? I presented you with a constructive post with facts. I think you can't deal with the fact that Microsoft messed up the Xbox One, it's okay I understand.

- "Who cares about the kinect being plugged in at all times" Uh, try several thousands of people obviously care or else they wouldn't be so upset about it. And I'm not sure if you read my post or not but there is no way, despite the privacy settings, to actually turn "off" the kinect.

- That source is credible, first of all because it isn't biased, and secondly because it breaks down the GPU and shows you how it arrives at the Xbox One having 50% less GPU power, using the information on the internals released by Microsoft and Sony. It's simple math, PS4 has 18 complete units in it's GPU. The Xbox One has 12 complete units in the GPU. 18-12 = 6, six is half of how many units are in the Xbox One GPU or 50%. So therefore the PS4 has 50% more GPU computing power, theres really no way around it.

- PS4 will be backwards compatible in a sense. Through the Gakai online service PS4 will be launching. It will allow PS4 users to play PS1, PS2, and PS3 games through the cloud.

- This isn't a valid point. Maybe not everyone supports indie developers, but a lot of people like myself do, they've made great games like Castle Crashers and The Walking Dead. And regardless of whether or not people support them, it doesn't make it any better that MS is forcing indie devs to fork up thousands of dollars for a publisher, that small entrepreneuring gaming companies can't afford to make Microsoft more money.

- Wow, you're calling me ignorant? You're basically saying "Oh, who cares about all those other countries that want to enjoy video games, screw them". I'm sure the millions in countries like New Zealend and Icelend that are region locked, where ironically the developers of the Witcher 3 live, and won't be able to play their own game.

- The restrictions won't make them any money? I don't think you know how production of games work. They're limiting used game sales which only earns profit for the store i.e. Gamestop etc. But by making more people purchase games at full price the money goes to the publisher of the game who then give a percentage to Microsoft. The trading system will be much worse, not sure what you're talking about. Only being able to trade a game once. And the family sharing system isn't a very good alternative either. You and the person on the family network both have to own the game to play together, they can only play your game if you aren't using it.

- I don't know what kind of job you have, but if you think $100 isn't a lot of money then you need to learn the value of money.

- They are exaggerating how upset they are. If sony did the same thing they wouldn't care. Just like how PS3 fanboys use to complain and say you never have to pay money to play a game online. Now they're just brushing it off.

- As I said, people barely cared about indie developers until they found out they won't be supported by the X1. Now all of a sudden everyone cares? Not buying it.

- How does them being region locked effect you? Do you live in one of those countries? Are you trying to be the MLK of gaming? Seriously, you're over exaggerating about how much you actually care about those countries. You just want to use it as an excuse to say PS4 > X1.

-

- Wrong, "In our role as a game publisher, Microsoft Studios will enable you to give your games to friends or trade in your Xbox One games at participating retailers. Third party publishers may opt in or out of supporting game resale and may set up business terms or transfer fees with retailers. Microsoft does not receive any compensation as part of this.

You can act like you know whats going on behind the scenes, but you know no more than anyone else here. And you have no clue how the family sharing works if you're saying it isn't a good alternative. As I said you're ignorant and aren't even willing to do research.

You and the person on the family network both have to own the game to play together, they can only play your game if you aren't using it.

Just like when you give your game disc to someone else with the PS4. The only difference is, I won't have to wait for a week for my brother to ship my Skyrim game back to me.

- Let's say you're buying a car for $20,000, then they said "For $100 more we'll put in leather trimming" or something like that. Are you going to say "$100!?!?!?! MAN YOU MUST NOT KNOW THE VALUE OF MONEY!!!" You're spending $400 on a console, $100 isn't a colossal difference.

Just like most PS4 fan boys, you're over exaggerating.

@The GPU, i'll come back to that later.

I'm not trying to make up anything, just using the information given dude. Alright, here we go:

- Of course, you're right I'm sure they're exaggerating. I mean who really cares about privacy anyway, am I right? As for the PSN costing money for online multiplayer, PS3 players actually still will be able to play online with no extra charge, Sony kept their promise with that. As for the PS4 requiring it, I'm fine with it because it's $10 cheaper then Gold membership, Sony said it would fund improvements to the network, and it's pros far outweigh it's cons like for instance PSN Plus members get 18 free games to choose from each month.

- I'm pretty sure people care about indie developers. Because I mean who really plays Minecraft, that isn't big or anything right? And even if I didn't give two craps about indie developers (I do), that still wouldn't make it right for a large company like Microsoft who will already make money from the indie games to whip down on the smaller indie firms who can't afford to pay several thousands of dollars to get a publisher.

"In our role as a game publisher, Microsoft Studios will enable you to give your games to friends or trade in your Xbox One games at participating retailers. Third party publishers may opt in or out of supporting game resale and may set up business terms or transfer fees with retailers. Microsoft does not receive any compensation as part of this."

- Uh, you do realize you just proved my point. You didn't interpret that statement correctly. "Microsoft does not receive any compensation as part of this", the point this paragraph is trying to make is that Microsoft will not make any money from USED game sales, only the 3rd party publisher and the store will, like it says. However, like I said they will make money from the brand new full price game sales they are forcing more people to make, by limiting the used game sales. And the fact that 3rd party publishers can opt in or out of letting their game be resold only makes it worse. That means more will opt out of it, in turn making customers only option to buy their game at full price.

- Not really sure what you're trying to say here. Obviously you have to give your game to a friend for the them to play it on PlaySation, that's how it's traditionally always been, but at least you can give it to as many people as you want. Microsoft will only let you do this once with a friend, and then it is binded to them forever. Microsoft's family network let's you access the other person's game library, but only if the game you want to play, they aren't already playing. And if a friend buys a brand new game you want to play too, chances are they're going to be on it most of the time so you'll probably have to wait a few weeks for them to finish it before you can even play it.

- That is a terrible analogy. A $20,000 BMW and a gaming console are completely different. An extra $100 on a BMW would be a .5% increase. An extra $100 on a PS4 is a 25% increase. And the funny thing is if you spend an extra $100 on leather trimming for a car, at least you're getting more out of it. If you do that with the Xbox One you're getting less raw power and more restrictions than the PS4. So essentially you are paying more for less.

First, at the GPU being 50% faster I never replied about. I did some research. The PS$ has 50% more shaders, however, it won't be 50% faster in real world performance.

- Let me address the PS+. I have a PS3 and most of the games they give you free aren't that good. And they aren't really free if you're paying $5 a month. And of course they're going to say the money is going to be used to fund improvements. PR 101.

- I don't feel like aruging about this, if you like indie games then thats you. But I doubt people bought the PS3 and 360 for indie games.

-
However, like I said they will make money from the brand new full price game sales they are forcing more people to make

And Sony won't?

That means more will opt out of it, in turn making customers only option to buy their game at full price.

How do you know publishers will opt out of it? Oh yea, you don't.

-
And if a friend buys a brand new game you want to play too, chances are they're going to be on it most of the time so you'll probably have to wait a few weeks for them to finish it before you can even play it.

And when lending a physical game disk it will be different? And chances are they won't be on the game 24/7. I understand having to wait a few weeks to play it if it was a physical disk you were lending them. Because you would have to go back and fourth to get the game from your friend/give the game to your friend. Then you would have to go give the game back to your friend/ go get the game back from your friend. Which would be too time conusming. On the X1 you can just wait until they go to sleep and just starting playing it? Waiting weeks to start playing it..lol come on now.

- I meant to say $2,000. My mind was stuck on the $100 when I was writing the post.

Some other things.

1. You can get XBL for $50 just like PS+.

2.
Not really sure what you're trying to say here. I don't know what you're trying to say here. If you give a game to your friend, they own it. You can't just keep giving it away if you have already given it away. How often do you give games away to your friends to keep for good?

-

Lol, these posts are going to start consuming entire pages. You may be right, the PS4 won't necessarily be able to use all 50% of the extra GPU purely for gaming (it might go towards the UI whatever), but what I'm trying to get at, is it will still have more raw power for gaming than the Xbox One. Anyway:

- Regarding developers in general indie and commercial, they've jumped from 126 to 505 since the PS4 launch. I wonder why, because of less restrictions. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

- I never claimed to know that all publishers will opt out of reselling their game. However, I'm willing to bet that the fact they are able to and it would result in more money for them, means a lot will.

- I didn't say lending a physical disk would be different either, but at least if you have some buddies who want to try a game before dropping $60 on it, or you want to bring a game over to a friends house so you two can play it, at least you're able to do that with PS4, unlike the Xbox One. Regarding the family network thing. Assuming it's a friend somewhere near you in the country, you're going to have identical time patterns, so for the most part you will both be going to sleep/getting up usually around the same time. But yeah, you might be able to play for a few hours before he gets on an kicks you off, and then a couple days later you do the same thing for a few hours. But who wants to play a game that way, at completely random intervals.

- You meant to say $2000? Lol, what kind of car are you buying for $2000? Either way, my point still stands you are buying more for less with the Xbox One console by having more restrictions and less power than the PS4

- Where I live and everyone I've talked to, Xbox Live Gold for 1 full year is $60 at the cheapest standard. While, PSN for a year, standardly is $50. Now, you might get a sale or something that drops the price, but that goes for both and you can't really take that into account, considering it's random.

- Regarding your last quote. Drop that crap if neither of us know what the hell we're saying haha.
