It mostly depends on what you take. For example - In my school in the US, you take Algebra I your freshman year normally, and Pre-Algebra your 8th grade year. I never Took
Pre-Algebra, I went into an Algebra class my 8th Grade year, so I can't tell you much about it. I'd recommend some slope, simple formulas like Y=MX+B. AX+BY=C. And I doubt you'll ever get to this in a Pre-Algebra course, but the Quadratic Formula is something you'll use later on

-B +/- the Square root of (B^2 - 4AC) All over 2a

Well, I've just finished Year 10 (In the U.K.) which is pretty much the equivalent to 8th Grade, by the sounds of it. I would say Types of Equations (e.g. Simultaneous), Algebra and Percentage Problems mainly. However, I'm not sure if the curriculum is the same over in the U.S., but I'm sure someone could confirm if my answers where somewhat correct. Thanks, and hope this helps.

_OuTK4STxP4NDA_ wrote Well in basic terms just for math. Should I study percents slopes and equations since I'm on break? And if so can you provide links! Thanks [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

It really depends on what math you're in now, and what math you're going to be in next year...
