Rhymes wroteNicasus wroteRhymes wrote The whole reason of posting a thread like this is to receive criticism. And that's what he got, honest criticism. It's surprising how many people on this site don't know how to properly take criticism. Instead of whining and complaining that I pointed out the obvious, why don't you work on improving it. And your right, TTG needs less people like me, less people that give honest threads honest feedback, and more people that worship there skiddy threads. And you are the only one being rude here, I'm just stating facts.
1. You didn't give him feedback, feedback can be used as a basis for improvement, and I don't see much of that in your post.
2. Instead of giving someone criticism, try giving them constructive criticism instead.
If you, or anyone else, is unable to actually give OP feedback or constructive criticism, then there is no reason to post.
On-topic from now on, if you still have things on your mind or disagree then use the PM system.
I feel the need to argue my point. . The fact of the matter is that if I would have posted something more positively, like "Congratulations, nice work!" (which is equally or less helpful then my original post) no one would have had a issue with me. But since I simply stated exactly what the OP did, everyone disagrees with me, even though they don't deny the fact. If you compare my post to just about everyone else's posts in this section that treat every thread like gold, I think you will find mine much easier to work off of. I hate to make generalizations but most the people that attacked me are the same people that post "How do I learn this language" which is against the rules, but no one seems to mind. I'm begging to think that they don't know enough to offer advice, so they just because they can't do it, it's automatically flawless and should not be put down. Now that my little rant and personal opinions is over, what exactly would you consider "feedback on a basis for improvement"? The OP has done little to nothing what so ever, and we have no clue what direction he wants his project to go. How could we give accurate feedback if the OP really didn't do anything and we have no clue what he plans to do. I believe that I am not the only one at fault here, that this whole thread is what I consider "pointless" but I guess this is the kind of material TTG deems acceptable, and I really don't want a part of it anymore. I'm quite fed up with this whole section in general, so to all of your satisfaction this will probably be my last post in the section for quite a while. Enjoy it I suppose..
But as you asked to stay on topic, I will attempt to offer "constructive feedback" with the materiel the OP has given. What you have done so far is a start, but people don't generally like to press esc and navigate to through a menu such as the one you have set up. I would recommend learning the structure of hot keys and working off that. From there I would just bind a key to open and close some text that tells you what keys you have binded. I'm not sure what the bypass is for text in MC clients as I remember struggling with that in the 1.2.5 days, and I'm sure it's changed since then. Also your tools you have laid out are a bit far fetched, some of them might be very hard to do, even for someone experienced with clients. Good luck..
Clearly you did not read Nicasus' post correctly. "On-topic from now on, if you still have things on your mind or disagree then use the PM system."
