Couldn't you just cut the wires going into the kinect and connect the power cables? Wouldnt the xbox think its plugged in so u can play xbox without the all-seeing-eye watching over you?

You paid the extra money for it. Why would you do that?

Because I'm pretty sure that would make the console not work.
It would probably give you an error message like: "Kinect Eye's View Obstructed."

Exactly just cover it up. I don't see what the big deal is about this.

I really don't think this is going to work. I really believe the Kinect is going to have to actually sense someone playing for it to stay working. I mean, they did say something about the Kinect seeing who is holding the controller to see who has what controller. I just bet it has to see who is holding it. I could be wrong of course. Just an opinion.

If you cut the wires going to the Kinect then the xbox won't recognize that it is a connect and not just any other usb device. So this would not work, you could always just turn it off in settings.

Take a picture of the room and put it in front of camera a few inches while the console is off so it can't tell
