This. It's like people forget that you can just keep your old console. However, they will have this service called genkai or something. And with it you would be able to buy PS1/2/3 games...I think.

Your right, Gaikai will only let you stream PS3 games but later down the line will be PS2/1 games. Gaikai will be avaliable in 2014 but I say for the best experience just keep your PS3 and if you don't have one go get one ;)

I think you can, but its the same server game so it wont be any difference.

Yes you can actually. They're going to have a collection of previous PS games that were on the PS1, PS2 and PS3 that you can digitally download and play on your PS4. Just like I can play Tak 2 on my PS3. You just can't play previous gen playstation games with the original disc, you'll have to buy them again digitally.

At launch no, but later Sony will be launching a cloud service were you be able to buy and download PS1, PS2, and PS3 games to the console, something Xbox One won't have.

Why would anyone want to buy their games again when they can just not sale their PS3/360? If Microsoft was to release this same feature I'm sure you all would be saying "Lol M$ being money whroes again. They want us to pay for a game we already own? LOL PS4 FTW!!"

No I wouldn't say that, I'd say now I can play older games on a more improved system, and not everyone had a PS3 or Xbox 360 so some people didn't play other games or they loved it and want to play it again.

No I wouldn't say that, I'd say now I can play older games on a more improved system, and not everyone had a PS3 or Xbox 360 so some people didn't play other games or they loved it and want to play it again.

I doubt many people will be worried about buying PS3 games when they have a PS4. But, that's just my opinion. And even if the system is improved, the game will still be optimized for the PS3.
