Yin wrote I was told while growing up that allowing a flag to even touch the ground is a defilement (though I don't know if that is true.) I don't think him stepping on the flag was on purpose, but I don't think he took the time to even care one way or the other. I mean, a lot of time could be wasted if he tried to avoid stepping on it every time. Most likely couldn't just stop. I do think he should have been more careful though.

SIurm wrote Didn't look like he did it on purpose, but he didn't seem to care (Like Yin said)

"The flag should never touch anything beneath it, such as the ground, the floor, water, or merchandise."

Perhaps dropping the flag was an accident (although to me it doesn't seem to have been), his crew should have done something, shown some sort of concern for the flag being on the ground and stepped on. The level of respect I saw was disappointing.

That's just my opinion.

I too have heard that even letting the flag touch the ground is disrespectful within itself, but to stomp all over it? I don't care if it was on purpose or not, he clearly knew the flag was beneath his feet, I could have pulled out over fifty pictures of him clearly on the flag. Letting the flag drop to the ground is one thing, but stepping all over something that represents our freedom as a country is an entirely different thing. I've never liked "Lil" Wayne to begin with, and this is just another reason why.

Explanation for him stepping on the flag even when he saw it.

He was high as f***. Also, why did that lady drop the flag in the first place????

He looked down and you could tell he saw the flag. He then got off and back on. Clearly he didn't care
