I haven't used my desktop in a while.
And recently had this problem.
I'm not even sure what version I'm on.
I'd like someone to help me.

Looks like a virus deleted some of your VERY important
system item while you where gone either that or
someone took your harddrive and put another one in
your gonna have to re-install
ive change my E drive to C and it did the same it
couldnt find the E drive where the windows folder was
sorry but theres no other way if it was a virus
its clearly to late to remove it

Reinstall the entire system?
But what is it? (XP, W7) or what?

Well first you need to figure out what OS you had on it. If you bought the computer somewhere and it was preloaded with an OS, then there is a good chance you wont have the disk with it. If you built it and have the OS disk, follow the steps on screen. If you don't have the disk, either buy the same OS you had offline or buy a different version and wipe it completely and have a fresh install.

Well seeing that you have a dell screen tells me XP
but take a pic of your Tower then it will help alot
by judging how old it looks it will be either 7 Or XP

I would recommend sending a PM to r00t as he is a computer wizard and could further assist you.
