Download your model version of iOS 6
iPhone 4 GSM model A1332 (iOS 6.1.3): [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

iPhone 4 CDMA model A1349 (iOS 6.1.3): [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

iPhone 5 GSM model A1428 (iOS 6.1.4): [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
iPhone 5 GSM+CDMA model A1429 (iOS 6.1.4): [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Replace "thetechgame.com"
with j(dot)gs

Step 1:
- Open iTunes and connect your iPhone, cancel any backups/syncs
Step 2:
Put your iPhone in DFU mode -
- Hold Home and Sleep button at the same time.
- After 10 seconds release the sleep button.
- Continue to hold until iTunes pops up a messages saying that it has detected your phone in recovery mode.
- iPhone will remain black.
Step 3:
- Once you get the message that your phone is in recovery mode, press ok.
- Then select your iPhone from the list of devices in iTunes.
- Hold down the alt/option/shift key and click "restore iPhone"
Step 4:
- Select the firmware you downloaded
- When asked to confirm the restore, click Restore Button.
Step 5:
- Your iPhone will now downgrade to iOS6

You don't have to do the DFU mode steps.
All you have to do is download the iOS 6.1.3 and hold shift on the restore button in iTunes and select the 6.1.3 IPSW.

is there any chance these images can be made available again im trying to restore my itunes. I have downloaded a jailbroken ROM IPSW and was wondering if that would work to restore it as well.

Downgrading only works on A4 devices with SHSH blobs. This post is incorrect.

This guide is completely off, apple is not signing ios6 anymore which means you can't down grade unless you have saved SHSH blobs
Well how do you know?
Get you will probably know, if not get tiny umbrella and it will say, if you get error 3004 tiny umbrella will fix it by turning on server(in application) PC and Mac just google it
