Depends what Enginge are you running e.g Project Insanity, if it is a PI all you need to do really is:

change the client IP to 127.0.0.1 or 0.0.0.0 I believe, make sure your environmental variables are correct and up to date with your JDK & Java version and run the Source & Client & It should work.

When I say PI I abbreviate Project Insanity meaning the 'Engine' of the game so to say.

I'm guessing you downloaded the source so it should say what it is where you downloaded and also you should be able to tell by the layout of the folder but I'm guessing you've never done this so best just check where you downloaded it.
