Lol bk scrandom, The 7870 blows the gtx 660 out of the water. Damn nvidia fan boys.
Blows it out of the water? It is unnoticeable better on games without PhysX, and much slower with. For most, the 660 is better due to the games they play.

Right there, the 7870 beats the 660 when its playing on unbiased games (Games that teamed with a gpu company) and of course the 660 beat it in Bf3 and batman, because they had a a contract. May I also remind you that this isnt even the 7870ghz. THe normal 7870 is lower in price and the 7870ghz and gtx 660's have the same price.

Still, I stick with the 7870 xt or the windforce 760, depending on what games are being ran the most.

You might wanna get a bigger power supply becuase you will be draining everything from that
500watt
better off getting maybe a 700+

dannrbo wroteThis is completely wrong. The tdp rating system is determined for low end psu's which is what companies expect a lot of people to be running. A 500w psu of quality will be able to push everything he has and more.180 wrote Intel Core i5-3470 Processor

Oh dear. On the benchmarks you linked, the 7870 won all of the tests on three games. The 660 won four. On the other games, it was mixed. Way to prove your point. Also, the 7870 is somewhat buggier and support isn't as good (as with most AMD cards; better hardware, poorly optimised).

I wouldn't say you could rate AMD or Nvidia cards as a whole due to how the vendor deals with you. You'd get the same service from ASUS for a Nvidia GTX card as you would a Radeon HD card.

Poor word choice from me. What I mean is, the drivers generally aren't as good and despite the usually better hardware, they sometimes suffer lower performance.
