This is the equal to recommending an Alienware laptop for "gaming". For 6 grand you're not going to get the cream of the crop, but you're obviously going to want something reliable. For that price range I would say get a Honda/Toyota. You can get a well maintained Civic for that price range. If you're good with a wrench and want to be more exotic you can go for a Subaru. But right now all you need is reliability. (Civics also get damn good mileage because of their K series engines, along with 4 cylinder Subaru boxer engines).
