So I'm confused. I never really understood what you had to do on the Xbox One. You have to log in to live everyday or you just have to be connected. Can I go a couple days without playing but just be connected to the wifi? Please don't bring bullsh*t comments making fun of me because I'm ignorant about the subject.

My interpretation of it is that it has to be switched on at the wall as does your Internet with it been switched on the wall so that it will have a current running though like the ps3 is now because it it switched on at a power socket it will turn its self on and update

They changed all of that. You now only need an internet connection once for an update. After that, you can stay offline as long as you want (unless the game you are trying to play requires an online connection of course.)
