Hey guys, so I'm building a PC and currently gathering parts for it, here's what I have so far ..

>Rosewill RANGER Gaming ATX Tower
>ASUS M5A97 Motherboard
>Nvidia GeForce GTX 460

and I'm still looking for ..

> A power supply
> Quad-Core Desktop Processor
> RAM

Is there anything you guys would suggest for those three in a mid price range that, along with what I already have be able to run games, photoshop, and other programs smoothly ?

Please comment below, thanks.

What's your price range?
And I, out of personal preference, would recommend an Intel i3/i5/i7 processor because Intel is better than AMD (IMO).

Intel has nothing to compete with the FX6300. For your own sake, you should consider all the options.

OP, here's what I suggest:

PSU: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

You'd have to use a PCI power adapter because the 460 has two 6-pin connectors, but 430w is more than adequate. The next step up is significantly more expensive.

Thanks a lot for your input. I looked over everything and it looks like it would set up nicely. However, I heard somewhere Intel had products in a better price range, but when I was looking the over them on Newegg I think I'd want to go with AMD.

Also, I honestly wouldn't mind going a step up on the PSU I think it'd be worth it being I already had a couple of PSU's just go completely dead on me in the past .-.

Well, the cheapest Intel CPU I can actually recommend at the moment is the i5 4430. You'll also have to buy a new motherboard.

And about the power supplies, I should have worded that differently. The "step up" is not in terms of quality, it's just wattage. The VP-450 and HIVE-550 are both excellent units. The price of the CX430 just went down a bit, though, so it has my recommendation if you're looking for something around 450w.
