Alright, Who do YOU think is going to the superbowl this year? Why?

I say the Colts for the AFC and possibly the Saints once again. Both teams are doing exceptionally well considering the standings this season.

What do you think?

I have to disagree. While both of them have mighty playoff credential this year, my Super Bowl XLV favorite is the New England Patriotgs (predictably.) Whereas my Super Bowl 44 favorite (Indy) let me down, I think that the consistency of the Patriots offense and a built-from-scratch defense with a secondary that gets remarkably better each game, we have no question in a playoff berth. With only a few truly easy games on the schedule this year, the Patriots' ability to overcome the toughest opponents should make a case for a team that will definitley make it.
As for the Jets, while they are (5-1) right now leading the NFL, don't expect a duplicate for the second half of the season. While this is a high calibur team this year with a repeating terror in defensive play and a thrilling offense, I think that they will eventually fall under New England, if only by one or two games. Either way, expect to see this team reach the playoffs, where it is unlikely they will go winless.
All the hype about "the Pack" this year? Bologna. A great start gone sour will need to play perfectly and at a level seen in the wild card last year if any Sports Illustrated predictions about their messiah, Aaron Rodgers, coming true. All these injuries this soon in the season are biting the team and they will likely lose around three or four more, and may even fall under Minnesota in the long run.
While they were my losing XLV team prediction, the Vikings have been more then shaken at the foundation. An early loss to the Saints (and a predictable one) was just the first in what became a mockery of a passing season for the Minnesota team. Despite acquiring Randy Moss and an offense bustling with stars, like the Dallas Cowboys, the Vikings have come up short when they needed to be their best. If the Vikings continue playing at a semi-competive level, then the Packers's run surely will be superior, but this team will likely make the playoffs nevertheless, even as a wild card.
The Falcons are more heavy of a case for the Super Bowl then the Pack or the Vikings this year. With an offense that was ready to go to extremes, and a finally in sync defense, the Falcons are just now showing their weak points. One, like the Chiefs, the Falcons will likely not lose a home game for the rest of the year. Two, like the Chargers, their travelling game is downright silly. If we can see the same home production as before, and even slightly improved travelling play, then expect a divisional break into the playoffs.
The Eagles are developing a case for the playoffs already as well. The NFC East division will likely be broken between the Eagles and Giants this year.Forget about the Redskins coverage. Forget about the Cowboys and their massive media bandwagon credentials. These two teams have played hard this year, and if this Philadelphia offense gets any more solid (even with this QB controversy) then they are gonna give the NFL a hard time this year.
While the Saints have been making big deals out of beating teams such as Tampa, don't overlook them yet. They have already wiped out Minnesota and were a 29-yard field goal from destroying Atlanta. However, they are making a big case for the playoffs when they need to adress the serious threat of Atlanta sweeping the division. The Saints have Green Bay, Baltimore, Dallas and Pittsburgh lying ahead, and if they crumble on the little things, then they are out of the big picture. New Orleans always struggles this late in the year, and if they are losing games in week three and four, then I think the repeat Super Bowl subject is already closed. The window, the ungracious, unbiased window, however, still is not closing on New Orleans.
Baltimore has enough on them this year already to make a playoff prediction easy, and have been good enough to make disagreements look silly. Even though New England found a way to shut down a vicious running game, the Ravens are NOT a team to count out of the big picture. They should be the third AFC playoff seed, if not better. They have again obtained a sheerly awesome passing and ground attack and defense, and may be calling the AFC North theirs. Their division, stoked with three mighty teams, may just be a winner-take-all (no wild cards). If this is the case, you woun't see Baltimore out of the playoffs until the end of January.

Therefore, my SuperBowl XLV favorite is the New England Patriots over the Philadelphia Eagles, as of week 6, 2010. The Falcons and Ravens will most likely be the Championship losers.

I'd have to say the steelers and the eagles will appear in the superbowl. I beleive this simply for the fact the steelers went 3-1 without their 2 time superbowl champ quarterback Ben Rolthisberger.

I believe it'll be the giants and the cheifs....that's right I said it lol. But think about it....the giants are molesting teams right now and the cheifs have a top 10 defense and offense. Neither of these teams will slow down.....but if the cheifs and giants don't make it then I'd pick the jets (due to current rape record) and eagles
