Arma is amazing. Not just for DayZ but for other mods and the game itself.

Yes it is. It'll keep you amused for hours. Just make sure you have some friends to play with though or it will get pretty boring. DayZ Standalone isn't too far away though so you might want to wait for that to come out before you buy ArmA 2 ect.

Its worth it. And the DayZ SA isnt gonna be realeased anytime soon. Rocket did an interview recently and said the CLOSED beta will be at the end of this month.. Then theres an open beta later, then the game. He said expect a LATE Q4 release

This is great help thanks guys! Also is Arma II online? Or just single player, many people have said Arma 2 is a great army game? If I do get it I could play with some of you guys? seeing as my friends don't have much money...:/

You can play ArmA 2 online. It's really great. Wasteland is a brilliant server side mod that would keep you entertained for ages. There's a lot of serverside mods on arma 2 like Takistan life, Chernarus life, Wasteland the list goes on and on. I'm sure people on TTG would be up for a game of Arma 2 or DayZ, including me. For wasteland i'm sure you need Arma 2 and Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead, just like DayZ.
