Well i might get deadly fishes mods but idk if you need a jtag or flashed xbox if i dont need one what do i do to activate the mods

You dont need a JTAG!!! You can and should hotswap to "activate" the mods. Although if you plan on getting different mods and end up hotswapping a lot, then you should just flash your xbox to play burnt games.
