I will say this to all of you, since you are a group of individuals who are interested in graphics.

What I have to say is:
Do NOT use a "rating" system where you rate x/y.

Why this is not helpful:
1) It does not help the artist in terms of where to improve.
The artist should be told:
-What makes the piece interesting?
-What do you find enjoyable about the piece?
-What seems like a weak area in their piece?
-What are potential ways to improve their piece?
2) The rating system is not accurate. From my experiences, the "rating system" is rarely ever used. The only times I see it being used is during team battles where they use the average of the scores to determine the winner, as well as "classing", where a panel of advanced artists judge their work using a numerical system. The thing is, they are a group of experienced artists and they use a scale of 1-100.

"Rating" is not helpful to the artist, and at the same time it makes it look like you don't know jackshit about what you yourself are talking about. A group of novices can not accurately "rate" a piece, they can only provide feedback in what they think is right/wrong.
