It makes me really mad that women complain and ask for equal rights and all but then they cant be drafted and men can? If you are so tough and brave to go into the military why cant you be drafted? Yeah sure you have to stay home and watch the kids for go to work blah blah blah. Men can do that to. I feel that if women want MOS's such as Infantry then why cant they be drafted?

Well they did just legalize women being on the front lines fighting with men. So they will maybe legalize them to be drafted. But the thing is, what if both of the parents get drafted? What will happen to their kids? They most likely aren't going to legalize it because at least one parent would be with their child and the government would not spend the money to make sure two parents of the same kids don't get drafted.

If They Legalized this then they should of legalize them to be drafted at the same time. I see what you are trying to say but there are single dads. If It Comes To That I'm sure there is some family that can watch your kids. Plus, the government doesn't care about you (no offense) but they could care less if you have kids, they just want for money.

Alright well I agree it is not fair we csnt be drafted. I if I had a choice I would possibly join the military. it was one of my options, but I was told by my mom I was not allowed.

on the other hand I may be strong enough and brave enough to shoot people and go through the training, but in reality most girls arnt... some of my friends cry when they have to kill a spider.

Tell me about it. I got a letter in the mail a couple months after my 18th that said if I didn't put my information in the draft, I would face jailtime and a 250,000$ fine.

I noticed that certain things make you unqualified, but I feel like times have changed since when the laws were written and with enough time, women can be stronger then men.

They should allow them to be drafted now, and make a specific law pertaining to couples with children, ensuring that at least one parent is there.

Well, I'm not going to agree or disagree with this.

My views are mutual. If a woman wants to defend her country she has the same rights as men do. It's an obligation to your country to want to defend it. I respect women and men who do decide to go this route, seeing as how I was close to joining the Navy.

I just found out that if you're an only child, you can't be drafted. From what I've been told, correct me if I'm wrong.

It's actually a federal law that you have to put your information in the draft as soon as you turn 18. That's why you could've face jail time and that hefty fine.

If women could be stronger than men they wouldn't beg for equal rights and then cry when you hit them.

Exactly my point. I understand why it's there, but only when males have to do it and it's not even that publicized. I didn't even know until it had to be turned in until 10 days from the received date.
