I believe its where one person on each team controls your team. They can set points to attack (markers) and use a selection of weapons and support to help ythe team. One weapon i know of is the Tomohawk Missile (Predator basically)

Commander is a person who controls the map tactically and will order you tanks vehicles helicopters exc so if you have a bad commander your screwed basicly thats what dice are trying to say i think.

As Commander you will also get to call in certain missiles and supplies to troops down below you can look down on the map and place commands for people to go too so you could mark C and it will tell them to go to C if you understand

Overall, the commander is like the officer of your army so listen to your commander and you will win thats what Dice are trying to say.

I have to say, I love DICE for FPS games!!

As I understand they give orders and control the team like you heard the voice in BF3. Although they can control the team from a secondary mobile device such as an ipad. Im not sure what else the app will be supporting but the ipad will probably be the top favorite for commanding the sqaud. Im sure you will be also able to control your team from your console or PC. But im not sure if you have to have some sort of bonus to be able to act as the commander(E.G you may have to buy the skill or something)

I have to say, I love DICE for FPS games!!

They are very good and with the new engine coming out which I believe they are using to create STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT 3 they games and full gaming experience is going to be amazing. And i'm going to cover it all on my youtube channel. - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

The game offers the commander job to players that have been performing well over the past few games they have played "i would bet it checks the score per minute".

The commander can mark objectives/points for the team to take and call in supply drops. They can also direct missile strikes on enemy locations.

There are more features but these are the main ones that im excited for.
