There is a i7-3770k or a i5-3570k for Ivy Bridge (last gen Intel) or i7-4770k and i5-4670k for current gen Haswell Intel. Those are the unlocked processors that can be used for overclocking.

Ok cool. So knowing this I'll probably get the i5 as it is a bit cheaper and I don't plan on video editing. I don't intend on overclocking either so if there is a cheaper processor that's not meant for overclocking let me know. Thanks man.

The i5-4430 is currently the cheapest one i can find in the US its around 185USD.

My last question that I'm just curious about is when you downgraded the Ram on my build to 8GB, what pushed the price upwards from my original price? I don't care as that is within my budget but I was just wondering. And I am from the U.S. I forgot to include that.

Me with expensive taste, and i just changed some parts to better ones like i prefer that motherboard, the cooler is way better.

If you plan on overclocking you can't go wrong with a 2500k.
