Product Number: HP Pavilion g6-1b79dx

My Computers Current Specs
4Gb Memory
500Gb Hard Drive
Intel i3-370M Processor

I want to upgrade my processor (Yes I know you have to unsolder it) to a
intel i7-2620M Processor. Will this processor work/be compatible with my computer?

None. You'll ruin the motherboard after unsoldering it.

It's easy to come off and then you just apply thermal compound.

You need a thermal paste remover and thermal paste.
Step 1 removes thermal paste
step 2 gets the surface ready
step 3 re apply the thermal paste.

What power supply do you have? if I may ask.
