Actually; You can't get banned for controller boosting; On Halo 3 yes; but not in Reach.

This was posted by Ferrex today on the subject of more cR Resets:

Full Party Boosting is the practice of taking a complete party (of accounts and guests) into a playlist and mindlessly shooting each other in the head for Commendations.

It isn't significantly more time efficient than simply playing (at least, once your Commendations stop ranking up), and it does not ruin the game for any bystanders (as opposed to Partial Party Boosting, which we will hand out Matchmaking bans for.)

Essentially, we've deemed it to be on par with Target Locator boosting. Distasteful, but ultimately not harmful. (Except perhaps to the sanity of people who engage in it.)

If you read what Ferrex said; Full Party boosting (Which would be a full party of Guest controllers and 2-3 players) is not a bannable offense but is looked down upon; as it doesn't ruin the experience for anybody if the whole party is doing it.
