Im sure ive done it correctly.

I plugged the USB in the XBOX
I put (PVR) the male red and white into the female red and white, then plugged them into the TV. Now i only can hear people & gameplay, but no1 can hear me.

Do i need to change anything on the xbox

yes, you need to go to your microphone settings on xbox and change it to what you want to talk though

Makes sure all connections between your controller and the mic and the xbox are good,
Make sure its turned on by the master mic switch,
Is the mic pushed all the way into the hole in the headset? It takes a bit of force.
Try a different USB port.

They might have just sent you a faulty mic, contact them

Nope, guess nothing is working..
Im pritty sure its not the MIC broke.
Its brand new.

They probably sent out a faulty one, its not unheard of. Read my post above and ring them.
