Depending on your resolution, you should be able to run something like bf3 on medium settings. The dual core cpu will most likely be a bottlekneck on 64p multiplayer servers, but it's not bad.
Gta is a bad pc port. With a little looking into it, some of the most high end PCs can't run it without a little bit of lag.
MW3? No problems. With a slight overclock, I was able to max out bo2 mp on my old 7770. Don't listen to the people who say a 6670 or equivalent can max out the latest cods at 60fps. They may not look the best, but they are still a little demanding.

Do you think an i3 3220 would be better?

If you do think it will be a big deal, you could get a phenom ii x4 965. It is a quad core cpu that is able to handle just about any game you throw at it.

Interstellar wrote how do you think the first system with the pentium compares to my current build? The only real change that you would notice is the better gpu. If you really want an upgrade, but want it to be reasonably cheap, get the fx 6300. You won't have to upgrade your motherboard as they're running the same socket.

One thing to think about would be a quality psu. If you're not careful, a surge of some sort could completely fry all of your components with a psu like that. The cx430 will be plenty to run everything in your system and more.
Last but not least, the 650ti boost would be a great gpu to upgrade to. If it wears down your budget too much with the other items, you could always get a 7790 or 650 ti.

Yeah I built my pc last april so components are a bit outdated. I just need a decent cpu gaming wise until I get an i5 quad-core. So if it performs just a little better than my current pc ill be happy. once i get my i5 i am also getting a 670 or 770.
