I was saying that because $400 wont leave any room for upgradeability. If you want to upgrade your PC so you can play newer games at 1080p or just want decent frame rates then you will need components that will support newer hardware, and $400 wont cut it.

The only difference between the 2 is that the $600 has 8GB of RAM and a little faster of a graphics card.

Why won't $400 be a good build? My computer came to exactly 260GBP which is around $400 and it runs games perfectly. I managed to stick an AMD FX 6300 and a GTS 450 in there along with the usual stuff. $400 would be decent enough build if you know where to get the parts.

I run DayZ on high settings at 1080p solid 40FPS. GTA IV high settings 1080p solid 56FPS, literally doesnt move from 56FPS. ArmA: 2 OA runs on high settings, 1080p and gets a good 40FPS. Minecraft gets mad FPS of course lol. Chivalry gets good FPS maxed out.

I know I don't play many high demand games but look at GTA IV for example. Poorly optimized game that is very complex performs good on a computer of this kind. That'll hopefully set a benchmark for other games.

mATX Gigabyte GA 78LMT-USB3. Not the best AMD chipset but it does the job.
