Can I go to a friends house, copy a game that I want onto a memory unit, and put it on my system and play it without my friends account?

nope you have to license transfer so you could play the game.

if you license transfer there is a slim chance of getting banned for market place theft but its very small ive done it with my friend numerous times and yet to be banned.

I have done the license transfer with dlc a couple of times and have never got caught you should be fine
