I was wondering if there is a diffrence between PC monitors and regular tvs. I noticed that my TVs are able to be hooked up to a computer.

Most tv's will be slow and laggy in comparison to monitors. The response times will be off, and you'll generally have a bad time. However, some TV's are optimized for computers, so it's worth a try if you wanna check out big picture on Steam!

There's a huge difference in picture quality and response time.

The "input lag" is the TV's post-processing. Some TVs have an option to turn off this processing, but if yours does not, don't expect to have a good experience gaming or just using your PC with it. It's not an issue for TV or movies because you don't notice the latency, but for gaming, it's a huge pain and it will make shooters unplayable.
