Modding - adding somthing to somthing else to make that somthing else better
Hacking - stealing somthing or taking somthing that's not yours

Modding is like doing like challenge lobbies and hacking is DDosing and taking someones account with there password and it illegal, thats what i think

Modding is usually the act running modified code on a console/game
Hacking is when you maliciously perform something such as Account Theft and DDOS attacks or anything that involves accessing information that you are not supposed to, it can also be physical in some cases, unless you're talking about literally HACKING away at something :3

Hacking- In the computer security context, a hacker is someone who seeks and exploits weaknesses in a computer system or computer network. Hackers may be motivated by a multitude of reasons, such as profit, protest, or challenge

modding is editing code for fun or cool purposes
hacking isn't always malicious, but it's usually to break into a system for personal benefit
