it cant be kd i have shotguns on xbox with a 200 kd and i have bowie knife with on ps3 with 400 kd and highest round is 79 on both and i have 1\3 of headshots nobody knows what it is except for treyarch and you would get shotguns if you made it to round 15 with only 200 kills u need at least 20000 kills to get shotguns.

Omg if your going high rounds then your getting a lot of kills...see what I'm saying now. I've been shotguns since die rise came out. K/D is big I go into every game with the mentality of ending with at least 80 kills for every down and I've never lost them..
High rounds, low downs, and tons of headshots. Have that mentality in a few consecutive games and you will achieve shotgun rank.
And play Die Rise. The best map to grind like so. Grab the AN-94 go to the roof and go for headshots. You can at least get to 25 solo with that one gun.

Too rank up kd is the main factor of ranking up and a lot of kills and downs you don't devide Caree stats you devide co-op most people know this now

Such as my kd is 109 on co-op and I have the knife aka Bowie knife through the skull

Its based on rounds and k/d not just solely on k/d.

The rounds thing has been disproven, you can get shotguns solely off of getting a high KD. Search everythingpiff on youtube, he plays to round 20 and ends it and has gotten shotguns.
Yes highrounds help, but KD is the main thing.
