So I'm in Marching band (Don't be a dick about it) and in concert band the instrument I play isn't marched, so I joined the section I always wanted to be in, Percussion. I've figured out though, that the sticks for Marimba/Vibes give you blisters ALL OVER your hands. It hurts like hell, and I've been told I have to deal with it for a couple weeks until the places get calluses. This just sucks as I have to play for like 2-3 hours a day for 3 months straight.

I know how it feels. When I go heavy at the gym (lifting) I get bad calluses and blisters. I just take a safety pin poke a tiny hole in the blister and pour peroxide in it. It helps it go away VERY VERY fast. Within a day

Oh I know the blisters from the gym too. I'd much rather have those right now lol. And yeah, I've just been popping them and cleaning them and they go away overnight. But they just re-appear because of the same rubbing constantly on the sticks.

Alright you think that's bad? Ask a soccer player about their feet. They get blisters all the time which end up turning into blood blisters, and they have to run on them anyways. Soccer players have blisters on top of blisters.

I used to have the same problem with biking, and dirt jumping but I've now got calluses instead of blisters which hurt alot less and most of the time don't hurt at all, keep with it and it should get better!

marching band hehehe
but you just will have to deal with it, i play the guitar and any beginners starting off playing wont be able to play for a while as it will kill their fingers but they just have to deal with it until their skin builds calluses, and that is just one thing, people get calluses if they hit the gym.
the other thing is to just simply wear gloves (thats why you see a lot of guys wearing gloves when they are weight lifting)

I get these from lifting and it sucks. Every exercise burns from it.
