The Deep Blue

Ever wonder what's really in the deep blue sea? the ocean does cover 2/3 of the world. It would make sense that there would be quite a variety of strange organisms. But what? Here's a video listing, with pictures, 10 extraordinary creatures you've probably never heard of. [youtube]Could I recommend a friend for a badge? If so I would like to recommend that the badge of "Awesome" be given to the user "Sith". He always makes valuable topics and has very good input on just about anything. Please consider this.

Look at this picture. This is why the ocean reminds me of outer space. There's so much "emptiness" everywhere but not actually. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
In space emptiness would actually be made up of dark matter and the ocean has water.
In space it seems like there are endless galaxies and stars. When you think about it, the ocean is similar. It has microscopic organisms that, to scale, are a bit like those stars. And when clustered are a galaxy.

With sea life ranging this much what else do you think could be lurking in the depths of the ocean. Oceanservice.noaa.gov says we've only explored 5% of the ocean. Scary huh?
Perhaps we'll never know what lurks but I do have a few guesses.

1) I've heard a lot about mermaids. Don't get me wrong, this is far fetched. But it does seem possible that early man had to hunt for food in the ocean and over time developed an amazing lung capacity which lead to gills. Then with the need to swim faster they developed gills.

2) More squid and octopi.

3) Anything else you can imagine

What do you think of the video and of my three possibilities?
What do you think is out there? Could be anything from civilizations to a new species. You tell me.

This is my original conspiracy name and this was all off the top of my head.

Also the ocean is only 1-10% discovered. For all we know. Atlantis could exist.

I think it would be amazing and scary if it came about that the Megalodon was still lurking around in the depths.

I would have thought we've explored more than 5% of the ocean. That being said, I think there could be anything down there. Even a lost civilization.
