The disc just doesn't spin when I close the tray and I get open tray constantly.

Try laying your xbox down and banging on the top when its reading.

If its not spinning the disc or reading it then you either need to replace just the laser which can fix both issues or somethimes even the whole drive.
The repair is not to difficult or expensive to do yourself or you could probably take it to a local shop.

Cheers. I fixed it once before by moving the laser and cleaning it but I think I have a new problem. I'll go over some fixes later today to see if that helps.
