Recently just came across a jtag-able xenon with audio/no video problem.
so i figured out it's the GPU and i was wondering if i could take a junk xbox (another xenon i got) and remove the chip and resolder it into the others place and if it would fix it?
i don't exactly know any methods for this and what generally causes it besides a burnt out chip/loose chip.
if you know a fast fix for this i'd be more than greatful.

no you cant resolder the chip, the chip is linked to that board with numbers and code. I have had this problem many of times, %80 of the time its the tv, try using componate cables, if that is not the case its the gpu, a good reball will fix it no problem

Try putting some pressure on the ANA/HANA chip (the big one right below your left fan). Just push on it with the eraser side of a pencil and start your xbox and see if video comes up. If it does then you just need a simple reflow.
If not then it's your GPU, you could reflow to fix that too but it may not last forever. If it is your GPU your best bet would be to get a reball professionally done somewhere.

This guy knows what he's talking about. If you're going to reball make sure you get a X-Clamp fix too, or else it will break again. D:
