D3FEKT wrote doubt we will see any major hardware mods really. It was a loophole in the hypervisor that even allowed the jtag modification on the 360 to even exist. Who knows what security system they use now and if it will ever be exploitable.
As for flashed i also doubt it. Later 360's you needed to RGH to even flash it lol so same i reckon for this.
The hypervisor is for connecting too XBL on modded consoles.
I remember when skids posted topics saying "How do I clean a HV?" and "Can someone give me a clean HV for my own server".

Batch541 wrote there is a way to enable a retail console into a dev kit, but it bricks the console (idk if you can stay unbricked if you're offline)

No, I was one of the people who started that rumour. The sandbox ID puts it into an infinite boot loop. There are ways to use the development features and not brick your console though people are keeping quiet currently as I assume there will be people working behind the scenes.

I am in belief that modders have been working on the Dev Kit side of the console recently, we may see a release of information regarding modding of the console in the near future.

No, on the Xbox One the console is running two virtual machines, the hypervisor allocates CPU and memory the each of these.

I'll give it a year maybe 16 months till its complete for a "jtag" standard but who knows depending on how many people are working on it. It could be sooner or maybe longer. There is no need to rush for mods just quite yet.

I love that you think the hypervisor is only for getting on live on a modded 360...
So your telling me that you believe an xbox360 would run just fine without a hypervisor??
lol come on now

It really just depends on how much time, people are willing to put toward trying to find exploits. Then it also matters on if they're willing to release it publicly. Then if they do release it publicly you'll then most likely have to find specific consoles that can do it and have people who know how to do it. Therefore I think it will take more then a year but less then two years.
