Hi, i have an issue with my Onboard realtek hd audio not working. The only thing that is showing up in my sound devices window is HDMI, and that's not what i want to use.
Here are my system specs:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit
AMD Athlon II X4 640 Quad Core @ 3.00GHz
Gigabyte GA-M68MT-S2P Motherboard
MSI Radeon 6870 GPU
I have tried Uninstalling the Realtek drivers and reinstalling them, i have clean installed Windows countless times, tried system restore points, checked my audio services are running, verified onboard audio is enabled in BIOS, there is only Disabled and Auto to choose from, so it's on Auto. I have also tried other speakers and headsets (I currently use a Razer Kraken headset and a sony Hi-Fi.) And i've been to the gigabyte website and installed the recommended drivers, still nothing.
This is starting to annoy me now as it has been ongoing for roughly a week now, and over that week i have been trying constantly to fix it. Another thing is that when i install the Realtek drivers, the hd audio manager program is not in my control panel or system tray, and realtek picks up my HDMI, but it's almost like my analog audio ports don't exist.
If ANYONE can help it'd be greatly appreciated.
