I was wondering what the best transfer cable would be to me, I currently have the Datel one but that fails so bad, so I'm getting a new one what one should I get, I would prefer one I could use a 360 memory card with instead of a HDD

The MS one is usually the best because it should work with all the HDD and memory cards. I have the 250g HDD and it still works with it. The program on the other could be the issue. Some programs work differently depending on your computer and the program version. If you are using Xport360 or Xplorer360, you need to make sure you have the most recent version of the programs for them to pick up on the memory extensions. My computer didn't work too well with Xplorer360 so i went with Xport360 and that works great.

As far as the cable type, always go with the MS brand. It may be more expensive, but if there's an issue, you can just call and get a new one for free.

Im pretty sure microsoft can track what you transfer so if your going to do some serious modding i wouldnt go for the microsoft one.
