Make sure Your Input (audio) and output (audio) are not mixed then make sure your using the latest version of TotalMediaExtreme, and make sure the Hardware Acceleration box is checked and enable preview, then the sound issue can bee sorted by double clicking the sound speaker in the bottom right of the windows panel to get your sound bored up hope this helps Good Luck
