Don't do that you will damage your xbox more

DO you get a error code? If so which one. If you look around on the internet or ask some xbox repair guys (Xbox market place) and tell them, they will be more help than me
Tried unpluging the plugging in all the wires again making sure they are all in securely.

If its e74 there are only temporary fixes unless you do a reball\reflow.

It's '0110' so it's something to do with the RAM being loose or something. I don't know how this happened.

If its difficult to fix I'm not even going to attempt it, I'll just throw away my Xbox or bury it or something. Can't be bothered with it anymore especially with the Xbox one and ps4 coming soon.

So I'm assuming it's a phat console, correct? Slim and phat error codes are different.

Try loosening the heatsink screws and hope for the best, if that doesn't work the RAM will have to be reflowed (heated up to the point that the solder melts back into place)

Yeah. It's a phat console. I'll give that a go I guess.

Thanks for your help.

Last time I had 3 rings, it was a problem with the A/V cables, put different ones in and it was fine. But of course i can't remember which error code it was

I've just opened it and it was all sticky in the inside so I carefully got most of it off I spilled on it awhile ago but never thought it went right through. Now it won't even turn on. So I'm going to give it a proper funeral.

I had it a year this month and now I'm onto my 4th Xbox.
