I mean battlefield doesn't own the ability to have destructible environment... Thats like saying the first game that had good graphics is the only game aloud to have good graphics... So no there not copying them just incorporating an idea for more realism

100% Copied part of battlefield with the building falling n stuff so I am still gona enjoy the game

call of duty is more of a kids game now. battlefield is more of a real war for mature players.

They didn't copy it but it kinda is similar now.

There are many games with destructible objects such as Red Faction. But, I don't think they copied battle field, and with customizable character's and classes. I don't think thy copied it either. I think COD wants to make changes and see how the fans react, and change the game a little, to create a new gameplay, and strategies.
