They cost $59.99 but you happened to get it while it was on sale (which is a good thing) but they are not always less than $50

irMoon wrote If you are looking for the console that can record, I would go with the PS4 because it can record in HD and you can record all the amount of footage that you would like. The feature is also free unlike the xbox one which you have to pay to access the limited recording. I'm not saying this because I am a playstation fanboy, in fact, I'm switching over from xbox to Ps.

If he's going to record he's probaly going to be recording multiplayer gameplay. Which he needs PS+ for, so decorating being behind a paywall on the X1 doesn't mean much. The Xbox One also had HD recording, so what's your point?

Seems there will be one less idiot on XBL come the Xbox One release date, so enjoy your PS4.

Okay, I didn't see your reply until today. My point is that PS4 can record for a longer amount of time.I didn't say anything about the Xbox One not being able to record in HD. What he will be recording is totally up to him and if he decides to record multiplayer PS+ is also cheaper than Xbox Live. With PS+ he will also have more games to record since it gives out around 20 games every month. LOL at your comment in regards to me. What is the point of one less idiot coming to Xbox Live, that being me, if another, you, is going to get on?

Xbox One records the last 5 minutes. PS4 records the last 15 minutes, but you can record as long as you want as long as you start recording before hand (like a PVR and such). The editing tools on the systems are about the same so for recording, PS4 wins hands down

while the XBOX automatically records your last 5 minutes of gameplay, less than PS4 15minutes but it can also record the last 30 secs at any given time. So lets say you do something awesome online you just say Xbox record that and it'll save the last 30 secs.

You can record with 3rd party capture cards on Xbox One and you can record video commentary with it, where as on the PS4 you can only record gameplay. The PS4 records 15 minutes of footage and I think the Xbox is upping there recording time but I'm not sure (5 minutes confirmed right now). Both are pretty much equal. But if you record commentaries over your gameplay, then get the Xbox One and if you only record gameplay, then get the PS4.

im not so interested in the commentary, as i like and find subtitles a lot clearer and better than voice.
And also, can you edit xbox one so you can add subtitles? And cut things out, because if not, i'll have to edit it on computer, which im not bothered about, just it'll be quicker to do on xbox, as im now interested in xbox since as i'll be able to buy xbox sooner than ps4. (I have my reasons)

I would think you'd have some editing tools but not even close to the ones you have on the computer, maybe like a trim tool and a couple other things. I doubt there will be an option for you to put subtitles in.
