Hello, I've posted a few times here already but I thought I'd make an intro thread. I play a lot of games ranging from rpgs to rts and of course fps. I used to be a part of exo before it became nextgenboards, I was big into modding and glitching on the ps3 back then. With the influx of mw2 mods being released to the public, my interest was rekindled in the realms of modding. So after some searching it looks like this is the place to go, I have 2 points though and would like comment on them from senior members if you would:

1)this site has a lot of publicity and with that it seems (from the little bit of browsing I've done) that there are quite a few scam threads and such.

2)all of the past places I've been to initially developed modding techniques but then released them to the public making everything transparent (obviously not -everything-) which made it possible for everyone to be able to have a share in the creative process. Here though I see that people are asked to pay for services such as entrances to modded lobbies for info on how to do some mods etc. Now I can see where individuals who invest in a jtag box are essentially loosing their money because the box will be banned, but even then it seems odd to me to ask for money from users in order to participate.

Along this line I've also read about people knowing how to unban boxes which would allow for a jtag to be reused but again that seems like information that is being withheld until a proper offer is made for it. If that's bs I'm sorry I don't know much about what we can and can't do with 360s, that's why I'm here.

Lastly can anyone link me to some info on how to set up console mods? such as the creation of a j-tag and things of the like?
