Was wondering if this rig would run Arma 3 on ultra settings in 1080p?

Processor: AMD FX 8-Core 4.00GHz

Ram: 16GB DDR3

GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB Dedicated.

Running on Windows 8.

I'm not 100% sure, but it will play it well.

The 7850 is a nice entry card...

The 7850 is the only letdown to the rig, will probably upgrade if it dosn't run it to well, thanks for the quick reply though.

The 7950 has some great deals on at the minute, so does the 680.

Have a look around, you will find some nice offers on.

I would go with the 680 because it is slightly more optimized for gaming, but my machine is AMD therefor it would be better to stick with an AMD GPU, might check out the 7950.

Just because your processor is amd does not mean the graphics card has to be, it wont exactly hurt performance if you were going to use nvidia card.

Personally I would not bother with an upgrade there's not point your 7850 is still a good gpu for most games and will bet you, good frame rates , so stick with that card for a whille then in the future look to upgrade to the new amd 9000 series

You are unlucky that Overclockers UK deal has expired. They had a 680 for just over 200 pounds.

If your in the US you can get a 7950 atm for around 200 dollars.

This set up would handle Arma 3 pretty well. If it doesnt play on ultra it will more than likely play it on high easily. The 7850 is a decent card, but if you can save up another 40-50 pounds you can get a 7870 XT, that's if you're in the UK.

Im not sure about Ultra, ut they did do a test with Arma 3, Where they ran 2 GTX Titans in SLI and put everything on max settings and it only ran about 40-50 FPS
