I'm sorry in advance if this has been posted before, but it just infuriates me.

This is a rant about the Milestone & Achievement section and the Introduce Yourself section.

It's just a place where members go to boost their post count up.

I believe that your post count shouldn't go up, when posting in either one of those sections...

It's common courtesy to introduce someone, or to congratulate them on their accomplishments.

And I feel as if it would make the post worth more, if you make it so the user's post count doesn't go up.

Agreed, I see a lot of people constantly posting in the introduce yourself forum, saying the same thing over and over to every new member.
Then again, if these forums didn't increase post count they would probably drop in popularity massively and probably become inactive.

Milestones would be better off without it though, I would rather have 1 page of replies from people who actually care than 5 from people who are trying to sneak in an extra post.

Does post count really matter to you all? It's just a number, If people want to "boost" it, let them as it doesn't effect you in the slightest bit!

Lol I have seen several of them so many people do it for MVC and MVC+ too and then after that I never see a news comment from them again.

Okay, think of a member that puts actual thought into their posts, while other members can copy and paste posts from a notepad that is saved on their desktop, and get twice as much posts as you.

Even if it doesn't affect you, it's still not right.

I agree with the Introduce yourself area. But this sort of applies in the milestones.

You can see the same user posting the same thing in the introduce yourself, the only difference might just be a smiley face at the end, or someone purposefully mis-spells a word wrong.

For milestones, I think it is an excuse if new members post there. I saw one saying they knew him for a while and he was a good member when they joined the same day.

But that's just how I feel. People may disagree
