CompleteDesigns wrote Reading through some of this thread makes some of you look so immature ,Its like "This is the PS4 section dont come here if you like Xbox One" . I go in both sections to look at news for both consoles + Peoples opinions etc.If you get one console , Doesent mean you cant enter the other forum.

On topic , I had the PS3/Xbox360 and honestly the Xbox was so much better than the PS3 , When the consoles were first announced , I was close to pre - Ordering a PS4 and was gutted with how Microsoft had screwed up so bad , However in my opinion they have turned it around 100%.

DRM removed , Kinetic + A free game , If you factored into the PS4 the price of the sony version of kinect + Fifa 14 the PS4 is more expensive.

I am not saying your opinions are wrong, but most people that go with the PS4 buy it because, we don't want the Kinect/PSeye rammed down our throats and being forced to buy it. Also, of course Microsoft have added more bonuses to try to save their failing console (according to pre-order numbers)

Dr_Richtofen wrote So i have been a very big Xbox fanatic for the past few years. My First Console was the Xbox 360. I have never really played PS3 except at a friends house and such and never really got into it. So i am wondering with all of the things heard about both consoles, who is switching over and why?

For Me, Im switching because of the Recording Device, You dont have to pay for Playstation Network for some features, ( yes i know you have to pay for playstation network ), and there will be 8gb of ram instead of 5. ( makes the games run smoother )

So leave a reason why you are switching as well. and if you arent swtiching tell us why. Thanks!!

No trash talk or anything, but you should do a bit more research on the RAM. For example esRAM. Check it out, you may be surprised what you learn from an unbiased source. Personally, I think the X1 and PS4 will both be great consoles. Though, for my money, I will go with the X1 because I want an all around entertainment hub. If all I wanted was a game player, I would stick to current gen consoles. Though I respect Sony, I don't think their fanboys are worth spitting on. So, allow me to correct a few misconceptions. Lacking loads of other features does not make the PS4 more "game focused" it merely means that the X1 can multitask. As far as the DVR function, true X1 will only offer this feature to Gold members. However, let's keep in mind that Xbox Live will have over 300,000 servers and cloud computing. I don't mind paying 17 cents a day for the reliable servers and social experience that Sony simply can't offer. Also, there are SEVERAL PS4 functions that Sony will only offer to PS+ members. Now, about that $100 price difference, the X1 includes the Kinect sensor and a free game. Sony said that they refuse to include a free game with their console because who needs a new game compatible with the brand new console they just bought, right? On top of that, what Sony doesn't tell you is that there are also several PS4 functions that require the PS eye and PS move. If you purchase a PS4, PS eye and PS move (equivalent to an X1 + Kinect) you would be paying the same price as an X1 but without all the extra features and abilities and without a free game.

In closing, PS4 and X1 are both great systems. It is merely a matter of opinion and, ultimately, choice. So choose whichever system you like. However, get the FACTS before deciding, instead of just listening to Sony trash talk Microsoft at every convention.

You have your opinions, let Sony consumers have theirs. Also, why is everyone misinformed about the fact that you can stream tv on the PS4 aswell?

Your misinformed actually. You can stream 4-6 "Cable Only" Channels on the ps4. They are also considering a 21$ monthly fee for this to. These channels as the moment will only be Comedy central, mtv, nickelodeon, and game trailers. and possible disney, and if you didn't know the xbox 360 already had these. But it will only stream live tv from viacoms cable channels and nothing else as it has no pass through. If this new policy goes through you can kiss external capture cards goodbye for the ps4.

I was switching, but with the policy changes on the X1, my brothers, cousins, and even some coworkers are going back to the Xbox One. So I'm back with the X1! I still have a PS4 launch edition preorders and this guy in my dorm is giving me $500 for it...I kind of want to put it on ebay though since parents trying to get christmas presents will be desperate to buy one and will pay alot of money for it.
