So with the new update around, I thought I'd clear up some concepts and ideas that others including myself are confused on.

Will my Microsoft Points (Currency now) expire?

Yes, they will expire on 6/1/2015.

What can I buy with my money?

You can buy anything in Xbox Stores and Windows Phone Stores online.

What do I do with Microsoft Codes I have now?

You can redeem them normally, but they will have a one year expiry date from the day you add them to your account.

What about promotional Microsoft Points?

Those points have their own expiry date determined by the Sponsor of the promotion.

Can I transfer this money anywhere else?

No, this money is linked to your account and can't be transferred or used as actually currency.

Can I change my currency I currently have?

No, the locale that was set when the account was created will be it's currency.

How do I get more Currency?

You can either buy an "Xbox Digital Gift card" as it is now called, or redeem previous Microsoft points you had.

What is an "Xbox Digital Card"?

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] is a card that will give you a code which will add the amount of currency paid for to your account and WILL NOT expire after being redeemed.

If you have any other questions let me know.

So Microsoft points we already redeemed to our account have an expiration date? Sounds pretty lame.

Yup, and points now redeemed will have a one year validity period after being activated before being expired.

Any proof of actual store bought codes expiring?
