Treyarch has long been desiring to put their original touches on the modern warfare series, as this could be seen with the inclusion of several items known specifically to Treyarch as a developer. One of these is the 11 KillStreak Reward, Attack Dogs. The interesting thing about this reward is that unlike in World At War, you can retreat and get away if you do not fire your weapon. Adds a very interesting aspect to what was an incredibly annoying killstreak in WaW.

Once again we see Treyarch (and for the better, I say!) putting their own signature brand on the modern combat of Black Ops. With the inclusion of the Napalm strike, not only will you be able to set the location of the strike, but also the direction of previously mentioned fiery hell. This will allow for an untold level of precision not yet seen in killstreaks in the Call of Duty Series.


It was announced early on in the development that Black Ops would NOT have unlimited sprint via Marathon Pro, to further help in balancing the classes and playstyle of players. However, recent videos have shown this is NOT the case, and that all of us proliferate rush players can continue our speed-crazed fix on into Black Ops.


Ah, the appearance of night vision goggles once again into the Call of Duty franchise. Heres hoping there are actual maps and locations in said maps at launch to take advantage of said pro+ perk. In COD4, there was yet to be a map that even remotely took advantage of night vision. The standard version of tactical mask will be helpful however, reducing the effect of flash and stun grenades

Many people still ask, what the hell is upgraded iron sights? It has so far only been seen on the M1911 and the Python Pistols. The Upgraded Iron Sight attachment gives the rear sight a white outline and gives the front sight a white glow. This is useful for low light conditions, considering the M1911 and the Python have pitch-black iron sights without the attachment.

Hacker Pro will allow you to booby trap enemy care packages. This means that the enemy care package might exploded in their face when they try to retrieve it. Another exciting feature of Hacker Pro is that it will give you the ability to turn enemy killstreaks and equipments friendly. In one video, a player using Hacker Pro runs up to an enemy sentry gun and hacks it, turning the sentry gun against the enemy.


With Hardline Pro, unlike MW2, it will allow you to get a second chance on the results of care packages. This means that if you get something you dont like, you can simply roll the dice and see what your second option can be.

As weve seen in released and leaked footage, the top tier perks in Call of Duty: Black Ops will affect the character model of the player themselves as well. For instance, Flak Jacket gives the player, you guessed it, a flak jacket, much in the same manner as The Hurt Locker

Theater Mode shows analysis of all death locations In looking at footage and screenshots of Theater Mode, before you actually begin watching a previous match, you are actually given a minimap with EVERY death location during that match. The possibilities of how to use this information for strategies and planning are endless.


Return of the Flamethrower attachment to all Assault Rifles Pyros rejoice! The fiery bringer of death makes its return to Call of Duty: Black Ops! Summits, Conferences and Geneva Conventions were yet to ban this rather simple yet effective tool in some of the Cold War era. Barbecue anyone?
