I don't see how you can get banned for modding GTA. Unless you act like a dick online and kill everyone with god mode. Then you get reported a lot of times might get you account banned. Or if you didn't stealth check your ISO in ABGX before you burned a disc.

I play in free mode with friendly fire off, all I really do is spawn cars, then whenever someone asks me to spawn them a car I spawn them the car they ask for. There's obviously a few people that reported me to get me banned for some reason, but I wasn't really being a dick. I froze the game accidentally with XMC's menu when I spawned a freeze car, because they aren't listed as freeze cars so I didn't realise. Other than that, I can't think of a reason for anyone to report me. L33t hax and a few other modders got banned a while ago too, that's probably because they didn't blur their GT out in their youtube video's though.
