Hello,
I plan on building a computer for the first time and was wondering if someone could give me a good build.
1) my budget is $600 i know thats not a lot but I want to best I can get for that budget.
2) I will use it primarily for games like WoW, Starcraft II, Minecraft
Also, I will use it for programming, maybe some sony vegas and photoshop
3) I would like 2 monitors
4) I tend to do multiple things when I use the computer, hence the 2 monitors so I would like this fact added into the build.
5) I will probaly get some upgrades over the years and I plan to use this computer for several years
6) I would prefer if you used newegg to come up with the build as I live in the USA and that is the site I know the most about.
Thanks so much if someone takes the time to help me out. I have never done this before and really need some help. On top I will rep all I can.

Vishera wrote Not exactly sure how much power you was expecting, but with the monitors, it really took the price up.
But here ya go.

Not a bad build however -
I suggest doing the whole thing on Newegg - you'll get everything together and it's much better customer service. PC PP are a pain.
Don't need 550w - you'll get bad efficiency and consequently power draw will go up.
An Athlon 750k I believe it's called would be a better buy. Newer technology and will perform better for gaming and should be better for productivity.

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] - 30 dollar rebate for it.
If it's too much (640 total) then get a cheap 4GB stick of RAM.

thanks to both of you I gave you both rep... does anyone else have any comments on what they think of this?
also, if it possible to get a cheaper monitor? I don't care too much about resolution and size as long as the monitor isn't bad

If you cannot afford a 1080p monitor - wait until you can. It's simply miles better for everything. Games look better, films look better and text is much sharper.
You would soon regret getting a lower resolution panel - especially as you'll then have to save 120 USD instead of just a little extra.
I would wait, but it's up to you.

I get what you are saying and I completely agree, I think it would be best to get a 1080p monitor but would it be cheaper to get a smaller monitor maybe a couple inches less for a cheaper price and still have it be 1080p?
